TOP 5: Assassin's Creed Locations

Number 5: Monteriggioni
Assassin's Creed 2

Monteriggioni serves as the main Assassin stronghold in Assassin's Creed 2. It is a small town owned by Mario Auditore that introduces the concept of renovation into the series. Although the town is very small, it has some very interesting places such as the Auditore Tomb and the Sanctuary containing Altair's armor. In addition, it also serves as the Assassin's stronghold in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for Desmond and the modern day crew while hiding from Abstergo.

Number Four: Jerusalem
Assassin's Creed

Jerusalem is the first place you visit in Assassin's Creed. It is the location containing Solomon's Temple where the first Piece of Eden in the series is found. It also serves as the place where Altair is supposed to assassinate the Templar leader Robert de Sable and also where he encounters his love-interest Maria. Jerusalem is also the location of Malik's bureau.

Number Three: Venice
Assassin's Creed 2

Venezia serves as the second major city in Assassin's Creed 2. Venezia is a city full of water, which makes it an interesting place to travel about. One of the most notable things about this location is Carnivale. Easily one of the best missions in Assassin's Creed 2, Carnivale has the player running about Venice completing games. Venice is also the place where Ezio first tries Leonardo's flying machine. On top of all this, the landscape is simply beautiful to look at.

Number Two: Acre
Assassin's Creed

Beating out Venice by a hair is Acre. Acre is easily the most visually beautiful landscape in the first Assassin's Creed game. I honestly do not have much to say about this place other than that it is beautiful. There isn't really much else that distinguishes it from other locations in the game, so I will just say that it takes the second spot simply by it's beauty.

Number One: Rome
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

This should not come as a surprise to anyone. Rome was easily the best location in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Unlike the previous entries, Brotherhood decided to have one location that was bigger than any other location in the series, rather than split it up into multiple maps. The result was a luscious and beautiful Roma which encorporated the renovation concept from Monteriggioni. There was tons to do and explore and there were some very beautiful landscapes. The epicness of being able to explore not only the Coloseum, but also the Vatican, takes the cake alone.
