Hello and welcome again to another exciting "Top 100" list. In this list, we have made some changes from our past ones. In addition to the choices, we are also going to reveal who initially nominated the choice to be on the list, although they did not necessarily have anything to do with how they were placed. Also, this is the first "Top 100" list where we will have a definite Top 5 as opposed to an undecided one, which marks great progress!
As for what Top 100 protagonists refers to, we are not just talking main protagonists or necessarily heroes here. To qualify as a "protagonist," the character has to have either been the protagonistic force in their respective media or an ally of the protagonistic force at some point. That being said, there may end up being some choices that people consider to be "villains" on the list. Believe me, this is a good one! So here we go! The first batch of this list!
